Camp Wild Interns 

Summer Holidays (July 23rd- Aug 17th 2012)

Camp Wild is owned and operated by Escot Estate at Escot Park, near Ottery St Mary in glorious East Devon. We are looking for energetic, passionate, creative and fun interns for our Camp Wild programme based at our Yurt Village. Our aim is to connect children with the natural world by teaching hands-on environmental education and forest school activities in the countryside and on the Devon coastline.

The role of Camp Wild intern is vital to the support of our instructors and environmental education programme for children aged 7-12 (residential) and 6-12 (day programme).

As a Camp Wild intern you will gain experience in all aspects of our programme, from supporting instructors during day time activities, to helping run evening programmes and overnights. Hours are very accommodating and are based on a 4 week rotation with one week participating in day time activities (08.30am – 4pm) and the other as evening staff (4-9.30pm, with 2 overnight duties per week). You will be required to do no more than 4 overnight duties throughout the duration of the 4 week camp. Food and accommodation are provided for the duration of your internship. Residential and day programmes run Monday to Friday and there are no weekend requirements.

Staff training will take place during the week of July 16^th July and is a mandatory requirement.
